AI Steals the Show at Lenovo Tech World Hong Kong

Survey Shows AI Poised to Take Off in Hong Kong: 95% of CIOs Say AI Budgets Met or Exceeded, But Challenges Remain

The future of artificial intelligence (AI) in Hong Kong is looking bright, according to a recent survey of corporate CIOs. With 95% of CIOs reporting that their AI budgets are being met or exceeded, it’s clear that AI is poised to take off in the region. However, there are still challenges ahead, including the speed of scaling, demonstrating ROI, and having the right talent.

The survey, conducted by Lenovo, revealed that generative AI is providing the most business value today, with 56% of respondents citing it as the catalyst for their AI initiatives. Despite this positive outlook, only 55% of CIOs feel adequately prepared to scale AI, with security, speed to market, and talent acquisition being key barriers.

One of the key takeaways from the survey is the importance of human capital in scaling AI. Almost nine out of 10 HK CIOs believe that having the right talent will be crucial to the success of their AI projects. This highlights the need for companies to invest in developing a wide spectrum of talent needed to innovate and scale AI quickly.

Lenovo’s President of Solutions and Services Group, Ken Wong, emphasized the importance of responsible and ethical AI use in driving meaningful innovation. Through partnerships with local educational institutions and initiatives like the Lenovo AI Innovators Program, Lenovo is helping to make AI technology accessible and beneficial for everyone.

At the recent Tech World Hong Kong event, Lenovo showcased a range of AI-powered solutions designed to meet the diverse needs of individuals and enterprises in Hong Kong. From improving employee experience and productivity with Care-of-One to enabling customers to plan the environmental impact of IT decisions with Intelligent Sustainability Solutions Advisor, Lenovo is leading the way in deploying responsible AI quickly and cost-effectively.

With their ‘AI for All’ vision, Lenovo is not just participating in the AI revolution – they are leading it. As Hong Kong and the world move towards a more inclusive, sustainable, and intelligent future, Lenovo’s AI initiatives are set to have a transformative impact on how we live, work, and interact.
